The longest running, independent language services company in the Midlands,   ‘Five Star Interpreting and Translations’ have become Five Star Languages.

This is a move in recognition of an ever evolving marketplace and the desire to continue developing their offering to work with companies with an international market, as well as exceeding the requirements of growing translation needs based in the Midlands.

As you know at Five Star we recognise that brands and businesses want to connect on a more authentic level with their local community. So with this in mind they have developed easier ways of engaging and supporting business expansion in this market with three packages for both available from 1st July 18.

Seizing Opportunities

Founded 35 years ago, in 1983 by Radhika Gauher. Radhika was a part time social worker for Birmingham City Council and was working in Social Service assigned to looking after Hindi/Punjabi and Urdu clients.

Her husband Krishan Gauher, already running a successful travel agency, saw this growing need as an opportunity and set up Five Star Birmingham Interpreting & Translation.

Twenty years on, their son, Ameet Gauher joined the business, armed with a Business Information Systems degree and a commercial background he was able to bring a new dimension to their offering; increased efficiencies for the business and client making it easier for businesses to engage, creating a process which meant the interpreter and business worked more in partnerships with one another and Ameet’s ease at building relationships eventually meant he became the face of Five Star Languages.

Of the recently developed service offering, Ameet is excited to continue their work with clients, and says:

“Seeing success and growth for the businesses we work with are our key objectives and our goals are to engage with small to medium sized businesses who want to make an international presence by offering high quality products that can be shouted about it to the world. We work to truly understand the client’s vision to get it right.”

One of our proudest projects started in 2009 and continues today, ‘City Sandwell Breast Screening Service’ has now been translated into 10 different communities which exceeded expectations. This has had a huge impact for the local communities that have caught breast cancer early; saving lives, time and money.
